On the 26th of December, the biggest floods recorded in the history of Terengganu destroyed homes, livestock, farms, communication lines as well as human lives. Mutiara International Grammar School responded to this grave situation as quickly as we could. Although it was a holiday season, we managed to collect useful items such as clothes. These clothes were then placed into boxes according to the age and gender categories. The boxes were then packed tightly and sent immediately to Kemaman where volunteers helped to distribute these items to those who were stranded. The school has already started a plan to collect pencil boxes and cutlery as it is most needed by the people of Terengganu. Although this donation might just be a drop in the ocean, we are still encouraged to continue and do more.
